I was chatting with a friend of a friend who kept saying, “that’s so basic.” Feeling out of the loop, I inquired as to the meaning. “You know,” she said. “Basic girls wear leggings with Uggs and oversized sweaters.. They drink pumpkin spice lattes and carry Longchamp bags.” Had I not been wearing a dress at the time, she would have described my outfit and lifestyle perfectly.
I do what everyone else does, because there’s a reason these things are so popular; they’re cool and fun.
