If you know me IRL, you know that I truly, completely abhor extreme heat. I hate it. Give me the frozen tundra over that ANY day. So, this week was been great because it’s not as hot! Yay!

Recipe of the Week

Oh, that’s a tough one because I did a TON of cooking (yet again) this week. I’m going to be unoriginal and say that sourdough + avocado + hard boiled eggs + everything season = the best, the BEST summertime lunch.

Currently Drinking

2 frozen bananas + a generous scoop of peanut butter (or 2 tbsp PB protein powder) + 1 cup coconut milk + 2 scoops Arbonne chocolate protein. I’m obsessed.

Currently Watching

Still hooked on Hart of Dixie… Nothing new there.

Currently Reading

This is sweet, predictable, not-at-all substantial and I’m loving it. A great, light beach read.

Currently Listening

Every so often, I get on little classical music kicks. Vivaldi is a favorite of mine and this is a great little “best of” for two hours of work music. It’ll make for a great power two hours!

This Week’s Adventures

We ventured out to Purcellville, which I loved. In case you missed my post all about it, you can see it HERE.

We also spent way too much money at ventured to Mosaic District for date night. It’s gotten so cool! I love it down there. Caboose Brewing is seriously awesome.

We also went over to Macmillian;s Whiskey Bar, which is amazing.

We also checked out Patsy’s in Tysons Corner which is uh-mazing. I like all the Great American Restaurants (“GAR”) and the Patsy’s concept lived up to the GAR expectations.

Current Hobbies

Sourdough. HOW do people do this all the time? I had no idea how time-consuming and labor intensive it would be.. But it is certainly worth it! Yum.

I’m also craving a redecorating project so I’ve been staring at these walls waaaay too much lately. I even ventured over to Home Depot for some paint samples… Who knows…

I also bought this for my possible new condo. More details to come.

Other Things to Note

While not the same, “Zappy Hours” are still fun.

I finally brought Slider out (and gave him a very-needed wash) since it is officially baseball season.

Ummm, have you had the Cookie and Cream Twix? My (grand)Mama used to have huge boxes of these at her house back in the early 1990s and I was elated to see that this flavor is back. Yay!!

I went up to At Home in Gaithersburg this week and forgot how much I love that store. Rarely do pieces speak to me so profoundly…

Frickle has been extremely clingy lately. Are your dogs as spoiled as mine are with the whole WFH life?

Finally, I’m in a step challenge this week and am walking A TON. It’s been a nice little motivator! Hurricane Isaias was supposed to hit today (Tuesday) but it wasn’t more than a bit of morning rain, which brought about a gorgeous evening.

That’s all for this week, friends! Thanks for tuning in yet again!
