Spread the love

I mentioned before that there are plenty of non-material gifts out there if you’re really on a tight budget this year.  However, let’s be real here, there are some people in your life whose love language is gifts, and would be disappointed if they did not receive something material from you.  Here I’ll go through some great gift ideas that are super budget-friendly and are things that people will genuinely use an appreciate.  I’ll also introduce you to some websites that offer great deals!  Enjoy.

Dish soap and dish towel

Simple?  Yes.  Useful?   Absolutely.  If you haven’t heard of Brandless, check it out.  No joke, this dish soap is one of maaaaay item for $3.  It’s kind of insane how much you can find on that site.  I have bought plenty of things from there and all have been great!  The dish towel pictured is from Ikea and costs a whopping 79 cents.  So, this is all to say that this gift is less than $4 and super duper practical.  Oh, and the dish soap smells amazing.

Coffee and a DVD

Just because movies can be streamed does NOT mean that people have completely abandoned DVDs.  There are many DVDs at places like Walmart and Target for less than $10 and many of them are classics!  For some reason, people seem to assume that new movies are the only movies that cab be given as gifts, and that’s just not true!  Brandless also has great coffee for $3, but the Gingerbread Coffee ($8ish) from Traders is one of my all-time favorites.

A book and tea.

Repeat after me: not all books/movies you buy for people need to be current titles.  There are so many fantastic classic books out there there deserve a chance to be read by your recipient and guess what?  They’re often way inexpensive.  Heck, I’d even say a used book paired with some great tea would make an awesome gift!  Check out B&N’s bargain books or even your local library’s book sales!  Tea is way inexpensive and is often extremely appreciated.  I’d opt for herbal/caffeine free tea.  Find it at your grocery store for around $3 a box.

Hope you enjoyed these (albeit simple) ideas!  If you have some great things to add, please do so in the comments below!

Happy New Week, friends!
