I’m heading to Massachusetts this weekend to celebrate my friend’s baby’s first birthday! To help me get super excited, allow me to share a post from a previous Beantown trip…
I wrote a while back about my trip to Boston, but I didn’t write much about actually being there. This was well over a month ago, but thought I’d still share the amazing time I had. Well, actually, there is something that prompted this sharing.
So, we had a bit of a monsoon on Friday night here in the Metro DC area and The Perfect Storm was on Bravo so I stayed in and watched it. Well, The Perfect Storm is based on a true story about six commercial fishermen lost at sea from Gloucester, Massachusetts, which I just so happened to visit during my trip to Boston… Actually, we spent very little time actually in Boston during my trip.. And I’m certainly not complaining.
Most of the time was spent either in Rockport, Mass. or Gloucester, Mass.–two of my new all-time favorite places. Absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend a weekend getaway this summer.
Oh, and if you go, make sure to have the coffee cake at Brother’s Brew–seriously the BEST I’ve ever had. A-mazing.
