My cup overfloweth. This past weekend, Anna and I hosted our FIFTH annual cookie exchange. If you’re interested in hosting your own, I wrote a step-by-step guide here.
The gathering went as normal. We had gluhwein, we had cheese-filled appetizers, we chatted, we laughed, we ate cookies, we voted.. And it was such a great afternoon. We have this down to a science, that I don’t even stress about it anymore. Even though it does take a fair amount of preparations, Anna and I can genuinely enjoy ourselves when guests arrive. And that, friends, is the ultimate goal of hostessing.
I ended the day on such a high note. Even though a lot of our friends who are usually there weren’t able to make it this year, I feel so blessed to call these ladies my friends.
I’ll spare you my musings on friendship because I feel like I’ve written about it so many times, but I just want to say one time how beautiful and meaningful friendship can be. This holiday season, I hope you can invest in some great friendships and appreciate those who you have been given.
Have a great Tuesday, friends!
Yay! Thank you for hosting, as always. It is one of the highlights of the holiday season 🙂
