How’s that for a long title?
Happy Thanksgiving week, friends! Between now and Christmas, as crazy as it sounds, I promise to post every week day! That’s right! I’m back. OK, on to the post…
For as much as I love the convenience of Amazon, I am not one to pay extra for shipping, etc., when a trip to Target is only mildly inconvenient.. Plus, let’s be real, I love Target. Even with Amazon Prime, sometimes I just need the “add-on” items right NOW, so I trek out to Target rather than buying something I don’t need in order to qualify for free shipping.
All that being said, the things I own from Amazon are nice, practical, things that I really wanted and use. They’re also budget-friendly and would make awesome gifts. And, believe it or not, I have used/worn every single one of these in the past 24 hours! How’s that for useful?
Also, note that these are mirror photos, and the diamond ring is on my right hand :).
1. Plaid Dress– around $30 (depending on what color you get). I absolutely adore this dress and get so many compliments on it. This dress is perfect for a chilly day in the office because it’s flannel and so cozy. I’m wearing it here with heels, but it would totally work with boot socks and riding boots for a more casual look. It’s also super comfortable, so I envision myself wearing it to a vineyard day some time soon. Sigh. The red or green colors would also be perfect for a Christmas party if you’re looking for a little treat for yourself.
2. Pacifica Beauty Cactus & Kale Oil Free Recovery Lotion, 1.7 Fluid Ounce– $13. Now, I am the first to admit that I wear Arbonne eye cream and night cream religiously (it’s seriously the best), but I don’t love their day cream. Pacifica is amazing, smells delicious, and is super light.
3. Nordic Ware Insulated Baking Sheet and AmazonBasics Silicone Baking Mat– $22 and $9. it’s no secret that I’m a passionate baker and these are the absolute best cookie sheets out there. Even if you know for a fact that the gift recipient already has cookie sheets, these are better and you should get them for her!
4. Soffe Shorts– from $7. Calling all former cheerleaders! These were awesome in cheerleading days and guess what? They still are! I work from home a lot and wear these ALL the time. Gift these for your favorite girly girl with a DVD of Bring It On and you have yourself a fun, nostalgic, and very practical gift. Size way up for grown women, though. I usually wear a size 6 in dresses and jeans, and sized up to a L in these shorts because, well, like many women my age, have moved past the booty shorts phase of life.
5. Fitbit Flex 2 and Bra Clip: $60 and $5. I love love loooove my Fitbit. Nothing feels better than owning a strong run or hitting it hard at Orangetheory and seeing it validated when you sync it with your phone. I got the bra clip, though, because I frankly don’t love the look of a rubber bracelet. It seldom looks OK with an outfit, so it’s best to hide the Fitbit on the undergarments, in my opinion. Since January is when many people start their workout routines, what better way than gifting them with a Fitbit to encourage them? Also, I should note that this is the cheapest option for Fitbit. I personally don’t love all the frills and would never use them, so this trusty little guy has served me very well!
There you have it, friends! What are your go-to Amazon purchases that would make good gifts for Christmas? Since Amazon is oh-so very convenient, I love any and all must-haves!
(PS- as a bonus, I’m linking an ad for an Amazon Echo here. Alexa is quickly becoming a pal of mine. She’s currently playing some Christmas tunes 🙂
