This is one of many reasons that I know I’ve become a DC person–when a $10 pizza sounds like the bargain of the century.

A few weeks ago, Jim and I happened upon Graffiato, a Mike Isabella restaurant near the Verizon Center (and Old St. Mary’s, home to the shortest Sunday evening Mass in town).  My friend, Natalie, who used to live here, always used to rave about Graffiato, so I was excited to give it a try.  The ambiance is so cool, with the exposed brick walls, metal detailing, and hand-painted walls.  Old and new come together beautifully with a very urban-chic look.  I was even more excited to learn that Sundays after 5 are $10 Pizza and Pasta night. So fun!  Jim had the “Porky’s Revenge” (soppressata, pepperoni, sausage, tomato, mozzarella) and I had the “Forager” (artichoke, mushroom, ricotta, mozzarella, roasted garlic)…  We also split bread sticks because one can never have too many carbs.

I love supporting local businesses, and love them even more when they (financially) love me back.  Check out Graffiato before or after your next venture down to Gallery Place/Chinatown.  You won’t be sorry.

Have a great weekend!!
